£0 remaining for curtains, curtain poles and bedding
This person, who was made homeless in 2022, has been living in supported accommodation for two years to regain living skills. He has now got his own council property and is working hard to make this the fresh start he has needed for so long. This person is permanently physically disabled, so having a place to call his own and be comfortable in is very important, as he spend a lot of time at home. He has received support for the cost of white goods and furniture, but there is no further support for curtains, curtain poles and bedding. Please can you help?
This young woman recently obtained a council flat and the existing floor coverings are effectively non-existent. She was made redundant before Christmas and is trying to find full-time employment, but has only currently managed to find part-time work and has a benefit claim pending. Whilst floor coverings are being supplied to her, this young woman cannot afford to have them fitted. Your help in funding this would make a huge difference to her and transform where she lives. Thank you.
V was homeless and, after a time in supported accommodation, recently gained his own council tenancy. In order to keep busy and help his mental health, he has given his time each week to help a local charity complete maintenance work for at least ten hours a week. V uses his van to allow him to do this, and also to give him freedom to get out of the house and connect with the local community. In order to continue giving something back to society, V needs £200 towards a larger bill for his van repair.
