£0 remaining for a gas cooker
L is a single parent to four young children. The family has been homeless and living in emergency accommodation, due to domestic violence. They have now been rehoused into completely unfurnished accommodation, so are desperate for a gas cooker. They have been supported by Children's Services, and the church has helped with other household essentials, but mum has no savings to furnish her new home. L, who suffers with mental health issues, due to the domestic violence, is currently unable to work and is dependent on benefits.
N is a single parent of her two children aged 14 and 7. She is also carer for her 14 year old nephew whose mother recently died. N recently gave up work as the hours did not fit with her caring role for her own 14 year old son who has autism and ADHD and is unable to sustain school attendance. N is now dependent on a carer's allowance and has no savings to buy a much needed new washing machine as her old one is irreparably broken. N is very grateful for any help for a new washing machine.
L is a single lady who has just moved into social housing after living in a squalid flat for a long time. Her new home has no cooker, so she would be very grateful for support to buy one. L is dependent on benefits due to complex PTSD which prevents her from working. She has no savings due to the house move. L also supports her sick daughter by caring for her 10 year old twin grand-daughters most weekends, so having a cooker is essential for them all.
Our client, who has just been allocated a bedsit after being homeless, has mental health issues after a traumatic event and is unable to work, but volunteers at a charity shop. He has been given some white goods and kitchen utensils, but has no money for floor covering. We would love to be able to provide a carpet for our client. Please could you help?
