£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
This request is for a young man who is living on his own, has has been suffering with mental health issues and is unable to work as a result. He is just about managing to survive on Universal Credit. This young man is rebuilding his life after being in prison at a very young age, but currently has no fridge freezer and has been eating day by day which is working out very expensive. He would love to have a fridge freezer so that he can have fresh food safely stored as he tries his best to build his life back up.
This family we are supporting had a flat fire and, unfortunately, they did not have contents insurance. The fire has wiped out most of what they owned. We have managed to get together items they need for their new temporary home, but they are short of a wardrobe, duvet and bedding items for mum and her daughter. We would love to be able to support them with these items and make them as comfortable as possible at the time.
This family have just moved into new accommodation. C is a lone parent who is living with her two young children and receiving Universal Credit and Child Benefit. She had to flee her family home, due to domestic abuse, and moved temporarily into a single room in a hotel, but has now secured permanent accommodation. At this stressful time, C would greatly benefit from some donations towards bedroom furniture, namely three chests of drawers and two pairs of curtains, to help make a home for her children.
D, a single mother of three children, who suffers from health issues related to her back, is currently claiming Universal Credit and studying at College. Her benefits only provide enough money to afford essential items. D has moved into a council property and has no washing machine. She is finding it extremely difficult to keep up with providing clean clothes for her family and would really appreciate some help to get a washing machine.
