£0 remaining for a slimline dishwasher
A is a single lady living with her two adult sons. One of her sons is currently unemployed and is the carer for A and her other son, who has severe autism and is unable to work. A has arthritis, a degenerative spine, fibromyalgia and anxiety. She receives Personal Independence Payment and Universal Credit. A is moving house and is unable to take her current appliances with her. We are requesting a slimline dishwasher as A is trying to encourage her autistic son to be more independent and he is unable to wash up. Thank you.
S is on benefits and, as all her money goes on bills, she has no money left over to be able to buy a mattress. The current mattress is in really poor condition and S can feel the base of her bed, which has now given her a very painful back. Please can you help her to replace the double mattress?

This family, consisting of father, mother and three teenagers, all have learning difficulties and are unable to work. They are receiving benefits, have no savings and live in a social housing flat. They have a lot of debt because they struggle to budget on a low income. Christians Against Poverty is putting together a debt repayment plan for them. Both their washing machine and double bed are broken and we can replace them with good second-hand replacements for £100 and £60 respectively, through our local supplier DFS.
