£0 remaining for a living room carpet
Back in 2019, E and her family fled from their home because of domestic violence. They were relocated to Waltham Forest from a woman’s refuge. E is a single mother of three children: two girls; aged sixteen and ten, as well as a boy aged fourteen. At present, this family relies on benefits. They are living in a very neglected flat, which is full of damp and mould. It is being redecorated, thanks to the help of a local St Vincent de Paul centre. However a new carpet is needed for the living room.
I am supporting a wonderful young woman who has experienced severe and high risk domestic abuse. She has been placed in emergency temporary accommodation and does not have the facilities there to live comfortably. She is also in need of some winter clothing. This young woman would like an air fryer so she can cook some simple food in her room, which also does not have a kettle, so she would like to purchase one. A winter coat and some trainers are also needed, as well as other warm clothing.
This lady is a domestic abuse survivor who is wanting to create a safe and healthy home for herself and her children. They are living with a bed that has a mould infestation, leading to outbreaks of poor health. Mum has a new mattress, but the old frame has mould spores and so they require a new frame to ensure that they can live mould free.
This mother and child were placed in unfurnished temporary accommodation, due to fleeing domestic abuse with almost nothing. The family now have beds, but really need one wardrobe for hanging essentials such as school uniform and coats. Please can you help them?
