£0 remaining for a washing machine
This Mum suffered domestic violence three years ago and had to flee her home with her 6 year old. She has been living with her Nan since then but has just been rehoused. She receives Universal Credit and has a part time job. She receives no child maintenance from the father. All her money has gone on the move and some essentials. She really needs a washing machine. We could deliver a second hand one with a warranty with your help in covering the costs. Thank you.
Our client has just moved into permanent accommodation after being in a safe house, having fled domestic abuse with her two young children. Her flat does not have a working cooker or hob so she urgently needs an electric cooker. Our client is currently working with Christians Against Poverty to help her get out of debt, so doesn’t have the income to buy one herself. She has been looking on Facebook Marketplace, but hasn’t managed to find anything. Please can you help?
H had been in an extremely violent and domestic abuse relationship for some time and this meant leaving all her belongings. She has started our employability programme and is engaging well. It has come to light that H doesn't have a full driving licence, and she would have more access to jobs available with a full licence. As it had to be left and needs renewing, the DVLA needs her birth and marriage certificate, which she will need to order, including postage.
This older gentleman has fled domestic abuse after years of control and isolation. He had to leave with just the clothes he had on. He is now in a safe place to recover. He needs warm winter clothes and basic toiletries. The Refuge, with your donation, will help him buy his clothes which he urgently needs, especially underwear. He is finding making decisions too difficult at the moment. He has been through a lot of trauma and your donation for warm clothing will begin to help him heal.
