J is a single mum looking after her adult child who has complex medical needs, including incontinence, she's been constantly washing bedding and clothes, unfortunately her washing machine has broken. She's been told it is beyond repair and needs replacing. J isn't able to hand wash her son's belongings due to hygiene reasons so she's been replacing everything instead. J receives Universal Credit but is unable to save for a washer as replacing her sons bedding and clothes has become her priority.
