Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This lady is a carer for her husband and they are making a fresh start. After living in very poor conditions, the council has now moved them into a more suitable home. However, they are struggling to furnish it and make it into a home suitable for their two very young children. Their most urgent priority is floor covering as none of the rooms have carpet or laminate. A carpet for the sitting room would be a great help for them.

Total needed £200S has been referred to Romero to ask if we can help support her with her mental health and hoarding issues. She has been served notice to leave her property. With support from her local council, S hopes to move to another property but, due to hoarding, she needs help in decluttering before she can make this fresh start. Please can you help us to support her to hire the skip she desperately needs to enable her to start taking control over her life and wellbeing again?
Still £160 left to donate
Total needed £160C is seventy five years old and lives with her disabled partner in a very cluttered property. She is accessing support from her housing worker to help with decluttering, as her property is no longer safe to live in. C's housing worker has asked if we can support her to obtain a skip to start to declutter her home, making it safe for herself and her partner. If C can get the support she needs, it will improve her mental health greatly and she can look forward to living a safer, healthier life in her own home.

Total needed £160This family of four, who are refugees from Afghanistan, have been in the UK for several months. Mum is suffering from the trauma of Afghan regime political abuse and is reticent to seek help. The family clearly needs weather suitable clothes and shoes. We have provided most of the clothes they need, but need to purchase shoes and wellingtons for the children. Your support would help in a practical way, but also, importantly, show mum that she can trust strangers.
