Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

C had Covid which caused her serious health problems meaning that she could not look after her home and two daughters. She is still disabled, but now has help in place and is looking forward to returning to her home with her children. However, her fridge freezer is broken so she needs to replace it before she moves back. Her girls are looking forward to living with their mother again, and getting the fridge freezer will enable this to happen. Thank you for helping this family have a fresh start.
Still £195 left to donate
Total needed £195N is a single parent of her two children aged 14 and 7. She is also carer for her 14 year old nephew whose mother recently died. N recently gave up work as the hours did not fit with her caring role for her own 14 year old son who has autism and ADHD and is unable to sustain school attendance. N is now dependent on a carer's allowance and has no savings to buy a much needed new washing machine as her old one is irreparably broken. N is very grateful for any help for a new washing machine.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £200N has been through a very turbulent time with unfortunately suffering an infestation of rats. She and her two children had to move into temporary accommodation whilst the landlord fixed the problem, although N had to contribute to the costs. N has heart failure having had 3 cardiac arrests. She is on Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments. The rats had got in via a disused drain and have destroyed the daughter's bed, storage, chest of drawers, clothing, everything in that room, where they have chewed through and left excrement and urine everywhere.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200E, a single disabled mum of two disabled children, is drowning in debt. Citizens Advice have advised that the best course of action to tackle her debts is to go bankrupt, but it costs a lot of money, money that E does not have. Please may you consider supporting this family with £200 toward the £680 bankruptcy fee so that they can rid themselves of the worry and stress of being in debt for good? Thank you so much.
