Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
Our beneficiary is a young man who previously worked, but has in recent years experienced difficulties in his mental wellbeing. He is agoraphobic, suffers panic attacks, has irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), anxiety and depression. He has incurred debt, that he is attempting to pay off with what income he has from Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment. We aim to help our beneficiary in paying off his current energy costs to enable him to escape his cycle of debt. Please can you help?
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150S lives with her husband and three children. For the last six months, they have not had a fully working oven and have been using one hob ring to prepare meals for the five of them. The hob is inefficient and expensive, and is costing a lot to run. S is juggling working part-time and looking after her children. Her husband is, unfortunately, unable to work. The family really need a new oven so they can cook the food they are receiving from the foodbank. Please can you help?
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200This single mum, who lives in a two bedroom flat with her daughter, is on minimum income. Her electric cooker has come to the end of its life and mum is finding it increasingly difficult to cook. Ready prepared meals are expensive because she only has the use of a microwave. £200 would allow her to purchase a new cooker. Mum is a good cook and enjoys cooking but, without a working cooker, is finding this difficult.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200X, who recently lost her job, is a single parent of three children, one with a diagnosis of sleep apnea at just seven years or age. Mum's parents are ill so she has no help with childcare. She is struggling with all her bills and is becoming desperate. Please can you help X with food and energy bills during this difficult patch in her life?
