£0 remaining for an oven
S lives with her husband and three children. For the last six months, they have not had a fully working oven and have been using one hob ring to prepare meals for the five of them. The hob is inefficient and expensive, and is costing a lot to run. S is juggling working part-time and looking after her children. Her husband is, unfortunately, unable to work. The family really need a new oven so they can cook the food they are receiving from the foodbank. Please can you help?
M is a refugee, and a single mother of two children. M is struggling with her gas bill as her house is very cold. She currently has a bill to pay of £200, and she really needs support to cover this as she cannot afford it and it would mean she didn't have sufficient funds to cover her other essential expenses.
The asylum seeker we are supporting has come to this country fleeing political violence, intimidation, and abduction. His early days in the UK were spent partly at the Bibby Stockholm. He is now housed with 8 other men in a small family home, which has not been provided with adequate white goods. A new refrigerator would help him to store a sufficient amount of food; at the moment, food he receives from a local charity is spoiling because he cannot store it properly.
S is a client of Christians Against Poverty (CAP). The door of her freezer is broken, and is currently propped up so her food is not kept frozen properly. She cannot afford to replace her fridge freezer, as she is struggling with debts after her husband left her. She has three children, two of whom are Autistic. Your support would be much appreciated.
