Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
S, who receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment, has been living in a first floor council flat. The last few years have been filled with many hospital admissions, some lasting for over a month, which have created mobility issues for S. Her flat cannot be adapted so she has had to source other accommodation. S has secured a tenancy with Anchor Housing in a retirement village where her needs will be supported. Any Acts 435 donations towards the removal costs will help her financially.
Still £120 left to donate
Total needed £200We are supporting L, who is in his 40s and facing significant health and financial challenges, including heavy debt from family issues. He works part-time and receives some benefits, but his debt leaves no money for essential medical treatments. L urgently needs chiropody care, as delaying it has affected his ability to walk and work. With NHS wait times being months, he requires immediate help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200E, who is married and lives with her husband, suffers from diabetes, cancer and sclerosis, and has to use a mobility scooter to get around. They have a low income and use a good pantry to eke out the little cash they have. Their bed has broken and needs replacing, but they cannot afford a new one. Her husband is sleeping on the floor on the mattress, and she is on a chair because she cannot get down to the floor or up again.
