Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
K and her husband have recently moved to the UK from Pakistan. They are both currently not working and do not have access to public funds, but are seriously job hunting. They have two children, aged eight weeks and an eleven months old. K and her husband are currently surviving on limited savings, but are concerned that these are running out. They are renting a room from a private landlord and are in urgent need of a fridge freezer, washing machine and single bed. Your support is highly appreciated.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200This young gentleman, who is in our supported lodgings, is on Universal Credit, but is actively looking for part-time work. Last week his bike was stolen and this has left him devastated as it is his only source of transport. Without a bike, this young gentleman will struggle to get to appointments and, if he finds a job, this could be a barrier too. Please can we help with this need?
Still £100 left to donate
Total needed £100RA is a twenty five year old Christian who has fled Iran and is seeking asylum in the UK. His solicitor believes that the grounds for refusal of asylum are mistaken, but an appeal will cost £350. Asylum seekers cannot work and RA lives on £48 per week in a hostel in Liverpool. His church can raise half the sum needed but Acts 435 is asking for donations to match that sum. Before RA fled Iran, he was imprisoned and experienced harsh treatment. Return to Iran would endanger his life, as he can't renounce his faith.
