Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

It is hard to lose your home at any age, but this young man is only twenty and has been thrown out of the family home. He has been awarded permanent secure housing and a small grant by the Council. However, the property is unfurnished and he desperately needs a fridge freezer, especially in this period of unprecedented temperatures, but also generally, to help him live as economically as possible.

Total needed £150Ten years ago, W developed severe mental health problems, lost his business and became homeless. Several years later, he was supported by family into a new home, went back into work and started to have support for his mental health. Unfortunately, over the years he developed a large debt and, due to the pandemic, lost his job. A donation of £150 will enable him to apply for bankruptcy, which will give him a fresh start financially and should reduce the enormous pressure his debts are putting on his mental health. Thank you!

Total needed £150I have just had a very nice chat with B, who has recently been moved into permanent accommodation which is unfurnished. She is in receipt of Universal Credit and has a low income after paying her rent. She is paying back some deductions and is unable to afford to buy a divan bed frame. B is currently sleeping on the floor and a bed will be the first item in her new place, and the beginning of the settling in process.

Total needed £150M is unable to work, due to mental health issues and; unfortunately, got into debt. Fortunately, he has been working hard with Christians Against Poverty over the past couple of months, and has been recommended for a Debt Relief Order (DRO) which is going to cost him £90. We know that there are those of you out there who care enough to help him raise the fee for the DRO. Bless you if you are one of those who are willing to help him raise this and have a fresh start.

Total needed £90N is a Refugee from Afghanistan who has survived extremely traumatic experiences. He now has complex mental health needs which have been exacerbated by street homelessness. With our support, he is finally in accommodation, but he has no home essentials such as furniture and bedding. Please would you give to help N construct a basic, safe home environment?
