Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Our client is a child who has recently arrived from Afghanistan to reunite with the rest of his family here in the UK. Their family is solely living off of the eldest brother's benefits and is currently struggling greatly with living expenses. They need help with essentials such as food and winter clothes (jackets, jumpers and shoes) which can be costly. Additionally, we will use a portion of these funds to top up their oyster card and provide them with vouchers to spend on other necessities.

Total needed £60Our client is a vulnerable young person who struggles with serious mental health issues such as psychosis. Sadly they had a mental health episode in public, which let to an arrest. Due to their vulnerabilities and mental health issues they were only given a community order, but there are fees involved in court proceedings. Failing to pay these would mean incurring further debt and leave them in an even more vulnerable position as they are currently only receiving £50 weekly to support themselves. Our client has no other means to turn to and would be really grateful for your support.

Total needed £115B is a mum to five children. She can’t be in employment as she supports her disabled child. However, that doesn't stop her from working in the community where she can. B volunteers at her local church and is always there to help people help themselves. B is careful with her money, but she has had a gap in benefits with being switched to Universal Credit. B needs help buying food and essentials for this period. We will use the money to buy a grocery shop in for her, so B can feed her family.
