Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Total needed £160This lovely young lady is single parent to a little four year old boy who has just started school. The council has moved them into a completely unfurnished flat. Mum has spent all her money on uniform and second-hand furniture, and now has to use the foodbank to get by. Friends have found her a fridge-freezer, but one of them suggested she asked us for help to get a new washing machine. Mum could not believe that we would help, as the council has refused.

Total needed £200Our client, who is an asylum seeker from Eritrea, came to London in June 2022 because it was not safe in her country. Mum, who has a daughter aged twelve months old, does not have any money as she only receives £8 a week. She needs a phone to make appointments for herself and her daughter and to use the map to find directions. Our client's phone was stolen in Tooting and she submitted a police report in June 2024, but has not been able to save to buy a phone.
