Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
We have been supporting this young man for nearly a year who has been living in a homeless hostel. He used to write, act, and dance but unfortunately has not had the opportunity in a long time. We have managed to secure him a bursary place with a local theatre to access their drama and creative writing groups but it requires a bus journey for him to get there. He has been struggling with his mental health and he hopes that this will be a really positive step forward.

Total needed £100E is a single mum of one; she struggles with her mental health and works as much as she can, whilst looking after her child. She amassed a large amount of debt, which she has received some help with but is still struggling financially. She is in the process of moving and hopefully starting afresh with her daughter. Please may you consider supporting this mother and daughter with some funds towards food and essentials whilst they go through the upheaval of moving and starting again? Thank you.
Still £115 left to donate
Total needed £120H, a divorced mother, and her two young sons have recently moved into a new home after being in temporary accommodation for a few months. The youngest son, who is seven years of age, has recently been very unwell and H has had to take time away from work to care for him. The home they have just moved into requires most of the basics in the kitchen that we take for granted, such as a kettle, toaster, bin, utensils and cutlery. If you can help, it will be greatly appreciated.

Total needed £150Facing job loss and housing insecurity, S maintains a positive outlook and is striving for a better future. His aspirations are hindered by financial constraints, particularly in affording driving lessons which are essential for a career transition. The rising cost of living exacerbates his struggle, intensifying the challenge of securing a stable livelihood. Assistance with the remaining driving lessons could alleviate this burden, enabling S to break free from the cycle of homelessness.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200N has worked with Christians Against Poverty to sort his debts and is now debt free. He has been living in supported accommodation, having turned his life around, following a life of addiction. N has been sober and clean for nearly four years now. It's time for a new start, and the chance to move into a flat and live independently has presented itself. N will be able to have his two boys to stay with him for the first time in years. We want to help him make a good start on his own. Please can you help with his moving costs?
