Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

S is a single parent who was doing really well, was able to take care of her family and daily living expenses. Unfortunately, she unexpectedly lost her job and, with the rising costs of food and energy, has found it increasingly difficult to maintain everything on low benefit income. A Debt Relief Order will lift the burden of debt, while she continues her job search. Please can you help S and give her a fresh start?

Total needed £90L, who is in her early fifties, had been a live-in carer for her elderly mother for many years and then became homeless, following the passing of her mother at the end of last year. L is now living with a volunteer host in North London, whilst she is supported to rebuild her life. Her church and friends are in South London and we would like to support L with a monthly bus pass so she can continue to engage with her support networks. She has recently signed up to do some volunteering.

Total needed £95This young man is unemployed and actively seeking work with the support of a Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Job Club. Since losing his last job, he has run into debt with the cost of living increase, and keeping up with bills has been a struggle on Universal Credit. This young man is working with CAP to become debt free and needs £90 to fund a Debt Relief Order. If this can go through speedily, then he will be debt free soon and can have a fresh start and, hopefully, a new job in 2024.
