£0 remaining for clothes
A, who is twenty four years of age, is an Asylum Seeker from Kurdistan. He arrived alone and has been living in a hotel for a year. His weekly allowance of £35 has to cover everything apart from food. He has attended English classes at college, and has therapy for ongoing trauma. He has few summer clothes and needs t-shirts, underwear and trousers. These will help him feel more confident to go out and look for work, as soon as he is permitted.
S is a young person seeking asylum in the UK. We are supporting them with their immigration case and other positive activities e.g. youth activities and English classes. They have applied for asylum support funding for destitution relief, but this is expected to take at least one month to be processed. They urgently need financial support to cover travel costs in London to visit their solicitor and caseworker (£10 each time), as well as money for food for the month.
S is an asylum seeker. She is receiving very little financial support, and it hardly covers her food and travel. Her phone has recently broken and she does not have the means to replace it. She is trying to get legal representation for her asylum claim and apply for college. Without this, she is unable to engage with any of the above, or stay in touch with family, and this will have a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. Having a phone keeps her connected to her community and professionals.
M is a destitute migrant who is really struggling with getting to his therapy and college classes, due to transport costs. He has moved to South London, which is the other side of London to where his therapy sessions and support networks are. M sometimes misses classes because he has no money. Any help towards travel costs for the month would be massively appreciated.
