£0 remaining for a washing machine
This gentleman had a mental breakdown and had a stay in hospital. When he was discharged, he was moved to new accommodation, but it is unfurnished and he does not have a washing machine. The gentleman only receives the basic sickness benefits, as he cannot work, and this leaves him with very little to live off.
This man sadly lost his partner in a house fire recently. He has been relocated but he has very little in his flat as nothing much could be salvaged from the fire. His Housing Officer has asked if he could get any help to start again. This man especially needs a washing machine and fridge freezer. We have second hand shops for white goods here so hopefully will be able to get these items cheaper than new. Please would you help him to rebuild his life after this tragic event? Thank you very much.
M has been struggling with Long Covid for two years, as well as other serious health issues. Her fridge freezer has broken beyond repair and other recent problems mean that she has no savings left to replace it. She is on Employment and Support Allowance and Personal Independence Payment, and has a teenage daughter. Being without a fridge freezer is increasing M's anxiety about her situation, her health, her daughter's future and her finances. Getting a second-hand replacement for it would relieve some of her burdens.
N, who suffers from chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, has depression and has self-neglected in the past. He receives Employment and Support Allowance and Personal Independence Payment. N needs to buy a sofa bed, bedding and drawers so that his niece come out of foster care and live with him when she soon turns sixteen. He receives mental health support and is receiving assistance to obtain white goods and carpeting. N has worked really hard on his mental health and living conditions, to be able to provide a home and support network for his niece. Thank you.
