She also has mental health issues including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder and patellofemoral pain syndrome. Her partner is in full-time education, but also helps care for her. C is a single lady who has had a traumatic life experience, using substances as a coping mechanism. She has been homeless and has recently been rehoused in a house of multiple occupancy, engaging with support services to deal with her trauma. C was recently robbed by so-called "friends" who took her iPhone, which she used for face-timing her son. C, who is unable to work and dependent on benefits, with no savings, is distressed that she can't make contact with her autistic son who lives with her auntie.
L is experiencing feelings of hopelessness, due to struggling with the cost of living. She has amassed some debts, following her husband's fast decline with dementia and eventual death. L has sought help from her local Citizens Advice Bureau, who are assisting to hopefully find the best solution. D is a single male who, through no fault of his own, is struggling on his Universal Credit only income, having been sanctioned for issues beyond his control. He is actively seeking work, but it is proving difficult to find any. Citizens Advice have advised him to appeal against his sanctions and are helping him with his debts also.
