T, who has recently received full custody of his children, is a single dad of five on a very low income. His washing machine has broken and he just cannot afford to get a replacement. Friends have been helping, but now with the school holidays, they cannot, and family live too far away. T will not go into debt as he’s already struggling and does not wish to add anymore stress to his life. He has tried washing by hand, but only managed to make things worse.
CF is currently in temporary accommodation with her partner. They have a history of homelessness and substance misuse, however, they have recently found faith and are making changes in their life. CF has been in the process of applying for ID, as she wants to find some permanent accommodation. She has a birth certificate, but would now like to use this to apply for a passport. CF receives the lowest level of Universal Credit, so she does not have funds for this. This ID will help her to move forward.
Mum is a single parent to her two children. The family recently had to move to a new area, following a relationship breakdown. The family are struggling financially and mum is struggling to sort out the house, so it feels like a home for the family. This lady doesn't have anywhere to store her or her children's clothes, and they are currently in bags on the floor. We would love to help the family with a wardrobe to help mum declutter the home. This would help build her confidence and happiness.
