£0 remaining for a Debt Relief Order
T, a young, single mum to two little girls, has suffered horrendous domestic violence over the last ten years, but she is finally free from her ex-partner. During this time she had built up debts, due to her ex-partner taking all her money from her. T is slowly rebuilding her life, but these debts are weighing heavy on her shoulders. She receives benefits and cannot afford the fee for a Debt Relief Order, which is the best debt option for her. T is afraid to answer her door. Please can you help?
C is a single lady who lost her only child a while ago. She has been struggling with ill health and been unable to work. Due to this, C has fallen short on her gas and electric bill as she needs to keep warm at the moment. She is getting better now, but has been advised to go back to work on a part-time basis. C is now worried that she will not be able to sort the arrears from her utility bill. She needs support for the debt, as well as bus tickets to get her to work for this month until she gets her next payment.
D is in a relationship with a man who treats her very badly. He is refusing to move out of her flat, does not pay towards any bills or food, and D is frightened of him. We have managed to get her housing provider to offer her support in having him removed. D is living on her nerves at the moment and is desperate for him to go. She suffers with her mental health, is very vulnerable and is unable to work. D`s fridge freezer has not worked for some time and she cannot afford to replace it.
D is a full-time carer to her son who suffers severely with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and autism. She always has such a bright outlook on life and puts all her efforts into caring for her son. Money is very tight in the home, as they have to rely on benefits, due to D being unable to work. D has been longing to decorate her home as it has not been done for ten years. She told me that if she could brighten it up, it wouldn't be so depressing. D would love to add a blind, a few cushions and a rug to make her home more homely. Thank you!
