£0 remaining for a single bed with mattress and bedding
J has recently moved into his partner's property but, due to her mental health and suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), he needs to sleep in a separate bedroom. J has been unwell and off work for several months and has no funds to buy a single bed and mattress, along with initial bedding. His partner is on minimal benefits so is unable to help with the cost.
This lady, who is unable to work due to mental health issues, lives alone and spends most of her time indoors. Her under-counter freezer is broken and she finds it difficult to manage without a freezer as she only goes to the shop when absolutely necessary. Please can you help?
T lives with her son and they are both in poor health. She suffers with respiratory problems and often needs hospital treatment, and her son has paranoid schizophrenia for which he takes daily medication. Their flat is sparsely furnished and they just have one, very battered, easy chair and some small garden chairs to sit on. We would like to provide them with a sofa so that they have somewhere more comfortable to sit, and they would also appreciate a vacuum cleaner to help keep the dust at bay.
This asylum-seeking mother of three from Iraq asks for help with £200 to purchase a refurbished electric cooker. Recently she was told that the cooker would not be replaced, but she cannot afford to purchase one on her limited asylum benefits. Mum has tried every other possibility, but has nowhere else to turn. She receives some help with food and clothing from Meeting Point, but we have no other help for her. Please could you help her to cook healthy food for her family and have what they need as they settle in Leeds?
