£0 remaining for carpet fitting
B is an elderly lady who was widowed two years ago, and her only income is state pension. She has recently moved into sheltered accommodation, provided by the council, but there are no floor coverings down anywhere. B's home is cold and expensive to heat. We have an offer of free carpets, but just need to pay for the fitting costs. Any help would be amazing.
R has recently had to move, due to a no fault eviction. His new property has no carpets anywhere upstairs, meaning it is cold, damp and unsafe for his children. R's only income is Universal Credit and he has no savings. We have an offer of free carpets and just need help with fitting costs.
J is a single mum with multiple health problems including Hodgkinson's lymphoma, a bicuspid heart and heart failure. Mum cannot work, due to her health, so her income is low and she has no savings. J needs carpets in her lounge, hall, stairs, landing and two bedroom and feels her health is being affected because of the lack of suitable flooring. We have access to free carpets, but please can you help us with the fitting charges to make J's house into a warm, comfortable home?
M and her children were living with her family, but fled their home, due to familial conflict and honour-based abuse. They were staying in temporary accommodation, but have now secured more permanent housing. They don't have a washing machine, which means keeping their clothing and bedding clean, and involves regular time-consuming and costly trips to the launderette. M is already struggling financially, as the sole carer for her children, and living independently for the first time.
