H is a single parent who is struggling with bills while bringing up his teenage son. They have just moved house and need a cooker, but do not have the funds for this large item. H suffers from heart problems and is currently a client of Christians Against Poverty, working through ways to address his debts. His new home is an opportunity to make a fresh start, and a cooker is a much needed item for the two of them.
We have a resident in supported accommodation who has found social housing, which is ideal for his needs. He is now very independent and looking for voluntary work after suffering a sustained period in an abusive relationship. We are seeking funds to furnish his flat and so far have been unable to secure a washing machine. Securing this item would help him to settle into his new flat and start his new life.
