£0 remaining for carpet fitting
Our resident, who is in his twenties and is in receipt of benefits, has been in our supported accommodation for over sixteen months. We have now found suitable accommodation for him, with the local authority, and he is starting the process of moving. The accommodation lacks carpets, which we have been able to source some funding for, however, he needs to pay for a local carpet fitter to fit the carpets throughout the flat. This will help to make it feel like a home and also keep the flat warm.
This gentleman recently moved into temporary accommodation and is being helped to look for a permanent home. He is waiting for benefits to catch up, so is struggling to make ends meet. His old mobile phone is not capable of being used to communicate with the benefits service, and he has a water bill he can't meet. This gentleman's clothes are all too large for him, as he lost a great deal of weight when homeless. Please can you help him?

A is a single parent who is in poor health, is dependent on benefits and has no savings or family support. He is the sole carer of his children, due to him ending the relationship with mother of the children when he suffered much abuse at her hands, severely affecting his mental health. A manages well on his limited budget, but is in desperate need of a new double bed, mattress and bedding so that he can sleep well and not aggravate his health issues. However, he is not able to afford an appropriate one. Any help is much appreciated.
