L, a mum with two boys, is terminally ill with breast cancer and four other secondary cancers, one of which is a brain tumour that makes her photosensitive. She is fatigued, following a mastectomy, chemotherapy and other interventions in her care plan. L cannot sleep well because her bedroom window has no curtains or blinds. This request is for curtain poles, curtains and blinds and their fitting so that L can get some quality sleep and respite.

R has been living in shared accommodation for over seven years after splitting from his family. This was problematic, as his ten year old son could never stay with him, due to the risk posed by the other tenants. R has now been given his first home by Birmingham City Council, which means he can have his son to stay with him at weekends. However, he does not have a cooker. R would like to apply for donations from Acts 435 to buy a cooker so that he can cook meals for himself and his son, when he stays.
