£0 remaining for children's clothing
Our applicant is an asylum seeking lady from Nigeria who is here with her four boys, aged eleven, nine, five, and a seven month old baby. Three of the boys receive free school meals. The family is part of our Family Hub and joins us during school holidays for activities and a hot meal. Mum struggles financially and has approached us during the latest school holidays to request help for clothes for the boys. Mum is extremely grateful for any help we have provided for her and we would like to support this family further
Safe Families are supporting an Iranian refugee who arrived in the UK in the summer 2023, with his twelve year old son. They have recently been rehoused and do not have a vacuum cleaner, microwave or all of the kitchen equipment that they need, such as cutlery and crockery. The family is on a low income and does not have the finances to equip the home. We would love to provide them with a voucher so dad can prioritise his and his son’s requirements, and purchase some items for their new home.
This lady, who is also the primary carer for her husband who lost his mobility, needs bed bug treatment. Unfortunately, their home is infested with bed bugs and, even though a new bed is being bought, their home needs to be treated for the bed bugs to avoid a repeat. This pest issue has brought undue pain and hardship to them, causing them to move out of their home. This lady will be glad if her request is granted so that she can return to normal life.
J came out of prison six months ago and has been doing well, working two jobs and living with family. The hours for one of her jobs have reduced and she cannot live with her mum anymore. J has moved into her own flat, but is struggling to furnish it all on a very low wage. She has applied for other jobs, but has not yet been successful. J needs a washing machine to help her set up her new home. She has made huge changes in her life, but still needs support.
