£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
M was homeless following significant trauma which led to an alcohol addiction. She has been supported into accommodation, has been alcohol free for six months, and started volunteering at a local community project. M is shortly going back into education to work towards becoming a support worker. Her flat doesn't have a fridge freezer and she has a low income so can't afford one. Your support would mean M could store food safely, enabling her to shop and eat more healthily and affordably.
J is a single mum with multiple health problems including Hodgkinson's lymphoma, a bicuspid heart and heart failure. Mum cannot work, due to her health, so her income is low and she has no savings. J needs carpets in her lounge, hall, stairs, landing and two bedroom and feels her health is being affected because of the lack of suitable flooring. We have access to free carpets, but please can you help us with the fitting charges to make J's house into a warm, comfortable home?
This young adult in a Ukrainian refugee family asks for help with £200 to purchase a refurbished washing machine as the previously donated one has stopped working and is beyond repair. The family are studying English and, as they are using their limited benefits to cover other costs, have no savings, having left all their belongings in Ukraine. Please can you help them to avoid the everyday stress and high cost of managing without and continuing to work towards employment and integration into UK life?
This young mum has suffered several tragedies in the last few years, including losing a child. Her father died of cancer and she has taken on the responsibility of caring for her double amputee mother. This young mum's marriage has broken up and she is bringing up her two children alone. They have had a fire and, due to losing everything, are in temporary housing. Whilst they have received many kind donations of clothes and furniture, they still need a bed for mum and an iron and ironing board. Please can you help?
