£0 remaining for an ID card, passport, statement of NHS history and travel costs
Our client, who suffers from hypertension and depression, is an asylum seeker from Pakistan who has been resident in the UK for twenty years. He has obtained charitable funding to pay for a solicitor who will represent his asylum appeal. However, there are additional costs that our client cannot meet, as he is reliant on friends for accommodation, food and basic needs. He requires an ID card and passport from his country of origin, a statement of his NHS history and travel costs to the High commission. Our client hopes for permission to remain and to work in haematology within the NHS.
This single male presented at foodbank in a state of crisis with nowhere to turn. At present his mental health is deteriorating and he is under the care of the Mental Health services. At present our client is sleeping on the floor in his accommodation, as he is in debt and unable to raise funds for a bed and mattress. We are kindly seeking your support.
P was just about managing in Housing Association accommodation when Covid hit. With only his pension and pension credit, he got into rent arrears and was eventually evicted. Having been in temporary accommodation since then has been difficult, but he has now secured permanent accommodation. However, it is completely unfurnished and he must start again. A bed frame would prevent P from having to sleep on the floor, and help him regain some self-esteem and confidence so that he can get back on his feet.
