£0 remaining for curtains, cooking equipment and a second-hand sofa
R has lived in temporary, single parent accommodation with her one year old daughter for over eight months. She has just been given some good news; a flat of her own, and picked the keys up yesterday. R is so excited to set up a safe home for her daughter, but is also anxious, as she has no spare money from her Universal Credit to buy a sofa, curtains and cooking equipment. Please can we help this wonderful mum to start afresh, making this flat a home and safe place to make happy memories in?
R, who is rebuilding her life after being in prison, has finished our employability programme and is looking for paid work. She is working hard, and we have supported with benefits, reducing isolation and mental health. R has recently moved into her own flat for this fresh start, however, she needs an oven for the property in order to support cooking better meals and batch cooking, reducing costs.
D is a young mum who, together with her partner, has been working with Christians Against Poverty, and the family recently became debt free. D's brother has died tragically at a young age and, although financial help is available for the funeral, D is keen to involve a celebrant. They have a little money saved, but just can't afford the full amount, as their savings pot is simply not large enough. We would love to bless them.
E is a single mum of one; she struggles with her mental health and works as much as she can, whilst looking after her child. She amassed a large amount of debt, which she has received some help with but is still struggling financially. She is in the process of moving and hopefully starting afresh with her daughter. Please may you consider supporting this mother and daughter with some funds towards food and essentials whilst they go through the upheaval of moving and starting again? Thank you.
