£0 remaining for cost of celebrant for brothers funeral
D is a young mum who, together with her partner, has been working with Christians Against Poverty, and the family recently became debt free. D's brother has died tragically at a young age and, although financial help is available for the funeral, D is keen to involve a celebrant. They have a little money saved, but just can't afford the full amount, as their savings pot is simply not large enough. We would love to bless them.
J and her husband have recently moved to the UK from India and J is pregnant with twins. Although both are working, they are on low wages and J is now on maternity leave, but is not entitled to benefits. They are living in one room in a multi-occupancy house, but are shortly due to move to a private flat. J and her husband have no savings, as all of their money is spent on bills and the house move. The church has helped with many baby items, but they desperately need a double buggy to enable the babies to go out.
My client has been in supported housing for over three years after suffering with mental health issues. He has now been allocated a flat and is looking for work. My client has very little in the house and can't afford the items that he needs immediately, such as cutlery, crockery and three pairs of curtains. Please can you help with his fresh start?
We are asking for your help to purchase carpets and curtains for the children's bedroom in our client's new accommodation that he has moved into with his two young daughters. He would love to have his daughters' bedroom set up with carpet and curtains. This will help to make the accommodation feel more homely for his daughters.
