£0 remaining for bunk beds and mattresses
H is a divorced mother of two young boys and they currently survive on benefits. Mum was working, but when her youngest son became ill, she had to stop work to care for him. During this time, the house that they had lived in for twelve years was taken from them under a Section 21 eviction notice. They lived in temporary housing for three months, but now have a permanent home which they need to furnish. The bunk beds and mattresses are needed as soon as possible, as the boys don't currently have their own beds.
This young, single parent has been struggling because she had to replace her daughter's buggy and has been hit by other expenses. Her own health is not good and she worries about getting around as she has no transport. Mum's household energy bills are high because she uses equipment such as a bath lift, bed lift and heated blankets, and has to purchase a lot of non prescription creams and ointment to keep her skin condition under control. Please can you help mum?
P has been in mental health hospital for a long period of time. Whilst there, his home was burgled and most of his possessions stolen. P is now home with support from the mental health and safeguarding teams as he is a vulnerable adult. Riviera Life Church has provided kitchen essentials and bedding but he has no fridge freezer which he is concerned about. He is unable to work and is dependent on benefits with no savings. Provision of a fridge freezer would greatly help his health and well being.
E is a single mum to two children under two years old, having been recently abandoned by the father of the children. Her cooker is very old and is irreparably broken so she desperately needs a new one to be able to provide meals for herself and the children. Mum is dependent on basic benefits and is using any spare money on transport to the local hospital, as her four month old baby requires frequent admissions. E is coping well, but anxious about not having a cooker. Any help would be gratefully received.
