£0 remaining for an electric cooker
K, who is in a wheelchair, has just been diagnosed with dementia, but still lives independently. His cooker has broken and is beyond repair. K lives alone, relies on his pension and is unable to afford a cooker. He would really appreciate your support in purchasing a cooker. Many thanks.
This mother and her two older teenage children have escaped a situation of domestic abuse. They are in receipt of Universal Credit, but are receiving support from Christians Against Poverty for debt issues. The teenage children are finding sleeping difficult and weighted blankets have been recommended to help with this. They need two adult size large blankets and those recommended are £70 each. The family cannot afford them in their current financial situation.
Our client recently moved to the area, fleeing domestic violence. Unfortunately, she wasn't supported during this at all. She had to take out a loan to cover the moving costs. The client is disabled and so needs an orthopaedic mattress, which we are funding through other avenues. Her current bed frame is falling apart and so we would like to get her a new one. To top things off, due to the move her benefits have changed from the previous system to Universal Credit, which has caused a period of time with no money.
This lady has recently escaped domestic abuse and has been given housing. She only works a few hours a week and is really struggling to make ends meet. She is a bit behind with her electric bill and would like to get this rectified as this is causing her a lot of worry. A gift of £150 would help her immensely. I have referred her to Christians Against Poverty to help her with her outstanding debt. Please could you help her? Thank you.
