£0 remaining for a washing machine
S and his wife have significant health issues and are both wheelchair users. They have been managing in temporary accommodation, but have now secured a short hold tenancy flat but, unfortunately, it is completely unfurnished. They are dependent on Universal Credit and struggling to afford essential items. £200 would enable them to have a washing machine, which would be huge for them, as using the launderette is challenging for them, both physically and financially.
V is a survivor of modern slavery with ongoing health problems who was mistreated in the accommodation he was given to live in while he recovered from his experiences. He came to us for help getting his life back on track. He has no income and no means of getting food besides food banks and support from friends. Please would you give to help V get a supermarket voucher to buy some groceries for this month until we can help him get the accommodation and income to which he is entitled?
Our client has been homeless for several months, which was a traumatic experience for him. A charity helped him to move into a flat, but he has no facilities there. He is sleeping on clothes on the floor, so a mattress would give him somewhere comfortable to sleep. Our client has no bedding so he would also really appreciate donations to help buy this. He has back problems, but hopes that an improvement in his living standards will enable him to look for a job.
