£0 remaining for a Debt Relief Order
My Christians Against Poverty client struggled after her partner died a few years ago, resulting in a breakdown which meant she could not work for a long time. She has mental health issues, has been feeling extremely low and frequently feels overwhelmed. She is eligible for a Debt Relief Order and we know that this will be a huge encouragement towards her feeling able to concentrate on finding a job and starting life afresh. Many thanks!
This gentleman recently moved into temporary accommodation and is being helped to look for a permanent home. He is waiting for benefits to catch up, so is struggling to make ends meet. His old mobile phone is not capable of being used to communicate with the benefits service, and he has a water bill he can't meet. This gentleman's clothes are all too large for him, as he lost a great deal of weight when homeless. Please can you help him?
A is living in supported accommodation after a period of homelessness. After tackling mental health issues, he is now in a place where he feels ready to tackle re-entering the workforce. To prepare for this, A has started attending weekly courses and support groups, but is struggling to afford the fees and travel costs on weekly basis. A needs assistance so he can continue to attends these activities to support his progression and to continue to move forward in his life. Thank you!
A is a single parent who is in poor health, is dependent on benefits and has no savings or family support. He is the sole carer of his children, due to him ending the relationship with mother of the children when he suffered much abuse at her hands, severely affecting his mental health. A manages well on his limited budget, but is in desperate need of a new double bed, mattress and bedding so that he can sleep well and not aggravate his health issues. However, he is not able to afford an appropriate one. Any help is much appreciated.
