Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
A, a single man who is living in shared accommodation, has a number of health conditions, including myelofibrosis; gout; anxiety and depression. He works ten hours a week, but his health means he is unable to work more hours. A receives Universal Credit and Housing Benefit, but his income does not cover his outgoings and he is reliant upon community larders. A's bed is very old and is not supportive of his health conditions, but he is unable to afford a new one.

Total needed £150L is unable to work due to his multiple health issues and, until recently, was living in unsuitable private rented accommodation. He has recently moved into social housing, but his property was provided with no carpets, curtains, or white goods. Living off benefits means he has no spare income. As L seeks to start his new life, he would be so grateful for help to buy the basics for his new home. With your support, he would love to be able to buy a fridge freezer.
