Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
With five children, including a new born at home, and both parents working, this family is struggling financially. The school is working closely with the family to support them and they know what a difference it will make for the child to go away and experience the residential. We are grateful for any support towards the cost.

Total needed £200J is a single mum in her thirties. After living in a hostel for the past year, she has finally been housed. Unfortunately, the property isn't furnished and mum is without any white goods. She has been buying pre-packaged foods and it is costing her a lot of money. J is worried that her living conditions will effect her child's health and his development. Mum is in her six week wait period for Universal Credit and is using her advance to pay for the basics. Please can you help her to buy a cooker?
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200Q fled domestic abuse with her two children and has been 'sofa surfing' at her mum's house. She has now secured a tenancy of her own, but it is unfurnished. Q has used what little money she has to purchase a few items of furniture and white goods, but she can't afford a fridge freezer. Your support to buy a fridge freezer would mean that she could buy and keep food fresh, and feed her family more healthily and affordably.
Still £175 left to donate
Total needed £175M, a single parent to a child and a baby, has been living in temporary accommodation for nearly a year, but has just secured his own home. The new home is unfurnished, and although the council is supporting M with some furniture and white goods, he has not been able to obtain a washing machine. He is on Universal Credit which only just covers daily living expenses. Your support to buy a washing machine would help the family settle into their new home and sustain their tenancy.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200M has been homeless for six months and lost all of his possessions. He has managed to secure a new property, but he doesn't have anything except for the clothes on his back. Due to his low income, M can't afford to buy anything so your support to buy a vacuum cleaner and microwave would make a huge difference to him, meaning he can cook basic meals and keep his new flat clean.
Still £100 left to donate
Total needed £100L has had a challenging life which has left him with significant mental health trauma. He is now being supported to live on his own. A big part of his coping mechanism is baking, but his cooker has broken beyond repair. Due to his low income, he cannot afford to replace it. Your support to buy a replacement cooker would be a lifeline to L as he develops pathways to cope with his mental health and wellbeing.

Total needed £200K, who has been hoarding for a number of years, has had no gas or electricity for a couple of years. The landlord came out to do an electrical inspection to get the electricity reconnected, but due to the hoarding, was unable to complete it because there was no access to sockets and switches. K is being supported to clear some of the clutter, but needs a skip to dispose of it. Due to his low income, he can't afford to get one. Your support to pay for the skip would help him to declutter.
