Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
D, a single mother of three children, who suffers from health issues related to her back, is currently claiming Universal Credit and studying at College. Her benefits only provide enough money to afford essential items. D has moved into a council property and has no washing machine. She is finding it extremely difficult to keep up with providing clean clothes for her family and would really appreciate some help to get a washing machine.

Total needed £150H has recently moved into temporary accommodation with her family. The studio apartment has basic furniture, but not some essential household items and mum is finding it difficult to keep it clean and tidy. She would be grateful for donations towards a vacuum cleaner, a small camping table and chairs for eating and so the children can do their homework at the table, rather than on their beds. H is also in need of a kettle and would like to buy an air fryer if her budget allows, but as she is on Universal Credit, is struggling to afford these items.

Total needed £200SL is a single parent with three children who are living on the seventh floor of a tower block. Mum has a washing machine, but has been without a dryer for some time and has no drying facility in her own flat or in the block. With the amount of washing generated by her children, it would help her greatly if a condenser dryer could be supplied.

Total needed £200R has cancer and had to go to Manchester for Proton Beam Laser Therapy. A previous request to Acts 435 paid for his travel to and from Birmingham. He needs a memory foam mattress to cope with the state of his skin and as he can only lie on his right hand side.

Total needed £165This family have just moved into new accommodation. C is a lone parent who is living with her two young children and receiving Universal Credit and Child Benefit. She had to flee her family home, due to domestic abuse, and moved temporarily into a single room in a hotel, but has now secured permanent accommodation.
