Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
This lady is a young mum who was severely affected when her washing machine broke down, following an ongoing struggle to meet her basic bills. Unfortunately, it cannot be repaired. Mum had to move in with her partner's mum, and the stress of being away from her own home made her mental health take a dip. A new machine would restore mum's independence, allowing her to look after her baby and keep him clean and safe. Please can you help her?

Total needed £150This gentleman, who is disabled, is a carer for his son. His health has recently deteriorated, both physically and mentally, and he has had numerous problems to overcome. When his cooker unexpectantly broke down, he was at his wit's end as he did not have the money to replace it and it was so old that it could not be fixed. A new cooker would make the world of difference to father and son, enabling them to get back on track and maintain their self-sufficiency. Can you help him please?

Total needed £200R is a single lady who was in an abusive relationship for years and recently escaped with only the clothes she was wearing. She was rough sleeping initially, but now has been allocated a small room in a communal house. R has no furniture and her room is too small for a single bed so she has been sleeping on the floor for a few weeks. She would really appreciate a single futon to sit and sleep on, as well as some bedding. R has not yet received any benefits and has no savings, so has no money.

Total needed £150N is a lady in her mid forties who has a number of health issues, meaning that her and her two daughters have to survive on benefits. The health issues involve M.E (chronic fatigue syndrome) and muscle and joint pain in her back, which is made worse by the poor quality mattress she has to sleep on. N and her daughters are in temporary accommodation at the moment, and a memory foam orthopaedic mattress topper would enable N to take it with them when they move to a permanent address.

However, he is not able to afford an appropriate one. Any help is much appreciated.

Total needed £200R has lived in temporary, single parent accommodation with her one year old daughter for over eight months. She has just been given some good news; a flat of her own, and picked the keys up yesterday. R is so excited to set up a safe home for her daughter, but is also anxious, as she has no spare money from her Universal Credit to buy a sofa, curtains and cooking equipment. Please can we help this wonderful mum to start afresh, making this flat a home and safe place to make happy memories in?
