£0 remaining for fuel costs
We have a resident in Supported Accommodation who recently had to drive from Cornwall to Birmingham to collect his partner, who was rushed into hospital (he collapsed while on a visit to Birmingham). They are both on limited benefits and the cost of fuel has caused additional financial difficulties for them since he has been in hospital. Other funding options were not available; therefore, we hope you can help.
A is a single parent who is in poor health, is dependent on benefits and has no savings or family support. He is the sole carer of his children, due to him ending the relationship with mother of the children when he suffered much abuse at her hands, severely affecting his mental health. A manages well on his limited budget, but is in desperate need of a new double bed, mattress and bedding so that he can sleep well and not aggravate his health issues. However, he is not able to afford an appropriate one. Any help is much appreciated.
This young, single parent has been struggling because she had to replace her daughter's buggy and has been hit by other expenses. Her own health is not good and she worries about getting around as she has no transport. Mum's household energy bills are high because she uses equipment such as a bath lift, bed lift and heated blankets, and has to purchase a lot of non prescription creams and ointment to keep her skin condition under control. Please can you help mum?
This man has moved into his first secure tenancy after many years of homelessness and instability in his living circumstances. He has been supported to get some household goods and bedding, as he had absolutely no possessions and no means to purchase these. The major outstanding item this man requires is a washing machine, as his property does not have any washing facilities. Can you please help him?
