£0 remaining for a pram
This young, single mum is living on benefits and struggling to make ends meet. She has a few medical issues to cope with and everything combined is making her feel very anxious and worried as to how she can afford a pram for her unborn child, who is due in a couple of weeks. She has been resourceful in obtaining second hand goods and using Charity Shops for clothing. She has seen some prams, but they are either dirty or the wheels are buckled, and she is getting upset as she needs assistance in obtaining a pram. Please can you help her?
K is a single mum who lives with her partner. Her eldest son lived with his father until last week when he went missing. The police found him and the boy stated that his father had beaten him, which was confirmed by the police. K thought that the father had custody of the boy, but the police and Social Services said there was no evidence. Mum now has custody, but the boy is not allowed to attend school and is still pronounced missing for safety reasons. He only has the clothes he came in. Please can you help him?
This lady is currently working with Social Services to, hopefully, take her grandchildren into her care, as her daughter is in a bad way. Social Workers are supportive of this, but a house inspection is due, and this lady is concerned that she has inadequate floor coverings in her kitchen, if there are to be young children in the house. She only receive Carers Allowance, as she cares for her autistic son, so money is tight, but this lady has been saving all she can to prepare for the children's arrival.
H is a divorced mother of two young boys and they currently survive on benefits. Mum was working, but when her youngest son became ill, she had to stop work to care for him. During this time, the house that they had lived in for twelve years was taken from them under a Section 21 eviction notice. They lived in temporary housing for three months, but now have a permanent home which they need to furnish. The bunk beds and mattresses are needed as soon as possible, as the boys don't currently have their own beds.
