F is a thirty nine year old single mother with a four year old boy and is nine months pregnant. She is struggling financially and suffers with anxiety and depression. The family have no money to get items for the new baby and mum desperately needs a car seat as this is essential to take the baby home from the hospital. Any help with this would be really appreciated by the family.
S is a young person seeking asylum in the UK. We are supporting them with their immigration case and other positive activities e.g. youth activities and English classes. They have applied for asylum support funding for destitution relief, but this is expected to take at least one month to be processed. They urgently need financial support to cover travel costs in London to visit their solicitor and caseworker (£10 each time), as well as money for food for the month.
S is an asylum seeker. She is receiving very little financial support, and it hardly covers her food and travel. Her phone has recently broken and she does not have the means to replace it. She is trying to get legal representation for her asylum claim and apply for college. Without this, she is unable to engage with any of the above, or stay in touch with family, and this will have a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. Having a phone keeps her connected to her community and professionals.
P was just about managing in Housing Association accommodation when Covid hit. With only his pension and pension credit, he got into rent arrears and was eventually evicted. Having been in temporary accommodation since then has been difficult, but he has now secured permanent accommodation. However, it is completely unfurnished and he must start again. A bed frame would prevent P from having to sleep on the floor, and help him regain some self-esteem and confidence so that he can get back on his feet.
