£0 remaining for food, toiletries and a monthly bus pass
S is an asylum seeker from India and, due to immigration conditions, he is unable to work or receive benefits. He has applied for the National Asylum Support Service support, but that could take at least a month to be processed. S has to travel to Croydon to sign with the Home Office and attend appointments, or will risk being detained. He can't afford to pay for this travel and has no income to buy food and other essentials, such as toiletries.
Our applicant, a young person from Chad who is undocumented/appeal right exhausted, is homeless and has no recourse to public funds. He urgently needs funding to buy food and other essentials, such as phone credit and clothing. He also needs funding to cover travel expenses to his solicitors' office. Your support would allow him to buy food and travel to important appointments with his solicitors and support network, as we would top up his Oyster card.
S is an asylum seeker who fled from Kurdistan in Iraq with her mother because of religious and family conflicts. Her family also wanted her to marry a cousin, a man much older than her. They live in a hotel where the food provided is inadequate, S has no recourse to funds for buying food and clothes, and her mother has been ill. Please would you help to bring change to their lives? Thank you.
