£0 remaining for one month's rent
M, who has come to us in a very desperate situation, has been off work since December after having broken his foot. This, coupled with the cost of living and preparing for a new baby's arrival, has really impacted his family finances. The money would go towards this month's rent, with help from the local church in providing financial support too.
S, who worked with us last year to go debt free, has been saving and managing her money much better. She was proud she had bought Christmas Presents, kept the house warm and had not gone into debt, very different to previous years. Her washing machine has just broken and, as she has not been able to save up again, is currently having to take her washing to her mum's house, who she helps look after, following a stroke. S is finding this difficult as she doesn't drive and it's taking a toll on her mental health.
P, who is blind, is waiting for his benefits to be processed. He was living with a family member, but now is on his own. P has no carpet in the bedroom and cannot put rugs down as this could be a trip hazard for him. He is struggling financially and in debt due to family member dealing with his finances and buying items unknown to him. P has no other family to help him. His support worker is helping and so are other charities, trying to resource house items for him. Please can you help?
E is a refugee who recently came to the UK as part of the family reunion process. She is busy now, learning English and attending classes, and has also registered for the local college. There are not enough finances to buy a laptop for her, but she struggles to access all the learning without one. Thank you so much for helping E get her own laptop in order to fully integrate into the learning culture and society in the UK.
