£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
N, who has come to Crosslight Advice for help with her debts, has been in a hostel for six years and has finally been permanently housed. However, the flat is bare, and she has very few belongings. Her physical and mental health has deteriorated to the point where she has been unable to work for the last six months. We hope that the local council will help N with the absolute essentials, but she does not have a fridge freezer. Are you able to help?
I am supporting a wonderful young woman who has been through extensive and high risk domestic abuse. This young woman needs to purchase some items for herself to make her new place homely, and provide some practical solutions. She would like to purchase a new wardrobe and some small storage solutions.
This Afghan refugee family, including the parents and four children, has just received refugee status and moved into an unfurnished council house. They urgently need essential furnishings to create a home. This includes beds, tables with chairs and basic kitchen equipment to provide a place to gather and relax. Unfortunately, their income is insufficient to afford these necessities.
C is in her late fifties, and has been suffering from back pain for many years which has effected her mobility. She recently was rushed into A&E and was admitted straight into hospital as her condition escalated. She has been diagnosed with severe scoliosis as well as spinal disc disfiguration and misalignment in her lower spine causing her pain and discomfort. The surgeon advised that she must purchase a orthopaedic mattress to relieve the discomfort and pain she experiences 24 hours a day.
