£0 remaining for grief counselling
D was referred to us for support after his release from prison. It is clear that he is really struggling with grief and trauma, following the death of his brother and the guilt he feels around what happened. We recommended D to try some counselling and agreed to pay for his first session. It went well and he acknowledged that he does need professional help. £200 would be pay for four further counselling sessions, which D can't afford himself and he otherwise faces a long waiting list on the NHS.
This young man has come from a troubled background and is wanting a fresh start. Coming up to Christmas, he has felt quite lonely and with not much to show for his short life. This would mean so much to him, enabling him to make his safe place home-like and clean. Thanks to you all.
This client, who fled domestic abuse and had to move away from her home town in a hurry, is currently living in protected accommodation. Due to leaving her abusive partner, all of their belongings and vital items were left behind. We are asking for £200 for a pram for her baby and toddler so they can get around safely with their mother while navigating a new life without abuse.
After a long wait, this family has moved into new social housing where the younger child can attend his Special Needs school. Dad is self employed, but winter is hard and work is sporadic. Mum works part-time on minimum wage, but they no access to benefits. They have historic debt, but are working with the debt agency and making good progress. Their families have helped out, but they are still without a cooker and relying on just a microwave. They would really appreciate your help.
