£0 remaining for a television
This applicant is a single mother of three. Her youngest has Autism and when he becomes overwhelmed, he will go into meltdown. His meltdowns are often physical, which is how he accidentally broke the family’s TV. The television is built into the son's routine and provides him with time not only to unwind, but connect to a bigger world. Without this routine, he is finding the change very challenging and upsetting. The TV also helps to calm him when he is starting to feel overwhelmed.
J, who has recently had a relationship breakdown, recently lost their mum, resulting in homelessness. With nowhere else to go and without access to benefits, these funds will allow for safe emergency accommodation for five nights in a hotel while figuring out the next necessary steps.
This woman, who was referred to us by the Social Prescriber, was forced to move from her flat, due to severe abuse and threatening behaviour from neighbours, which escalated to the point that the police became involved. In addition to this trauma, this woman suffers from multiple physical health problems, including spinal cauda equina. The only piece of furniture she was able to take with her is a fridge. We urgently request your assistance with a washing machine, including delivery and installation.
L, who fled an abusive relationship earlier in the year, and fell pregnant, has moved back to sleeping on her parents sofa, but then was offered a property. She has moved in and we have helped with lots of second-hand furniture, however, she has no cooker. L would really appreciate your support in helping to purchase a cooker so she can cook meals for herself and her little girl. She is currently reliant on Universal Credit so will not be able to afford to purchase a cooker. Many thanks.
