£0 remaining for an electric cooker
This delightful mum, with two children, had her world fall apart two months ago when her husband left her for another woman. He had dealt with their finances, but she has lost control and very tearfully asked for help from our Church's emergency food project. we have now discovered that her cooker has broken, which adds to her difficulties. When we suggested that Acts 435 may be able to provide a new cooker for her family, she was completely overwhelmed. Please can you help?
Our Christians Against Poverty client really struggled during to keep on top of bills and living costs during Covid, and recently her physical health has hindered her from working, deepening the crisis even further. A Debt Relief Order (DRO) will help lift the burden of debt and ease the pressure on her monthly budget. Your gift will provide the fees to pay for the DRO application.
D is a single person who lives with her brother, and they recently lost their mother due to ill health. During the transition of having the tenancy and various bills migrated into her name several debts were accrued including a benefit overpayment. D is currently on very limited income and is unable to repay the outstanding debts. We have determined that a Debt Relief Order would be ideal for her, but D is unable to afford the fee.
Z is a student and a mum of an eighteen month old boy. She has no recourse to public funds and is struggling to maintain her household, both financially and emotionally. She is struggling to keep a job at present, due to childcare challenges. The Landlord is pressuring her to pay £450 and she is also in debt with Council Tax and fuel bills. Z's mental wellbeing is not stable and any help would be greatly appreciated.
