Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

C is a single lady who lost her only child a while ago. She has been struggling with ill health and been unable to work. Due to this, C has fallen short on her gas and electric bill as she needs to keep warm at the moment. She is getting better now, but has been advised to go back to work on a part-time basis. C is now worried that she will not be able to sort the arrears from her utility bill. She needs support for the debt, as well as bus tickets to get her to work for this month until she gets her next payment.

Total needed £200D is a full-time carer to her son who suffers severely with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and autism. She always has such a bright outlook on life and puts all her efforts into caring for her son. Money is very tight in the home, as they have to rely on benefits, due to D being unable to work. D has been longing to decorate her home as it has not been done for ten years. She told me that if she could brighten it up, it wouldn't be so depressing. D would love to add a blind, a few cushions and a rug to make her home more homely. Thank you!

Total needed £200M is fifty six years of age and lives alone. He has suffered with his mental health for many years, is unable to work and has to rely on benefits. We are supporting M with debt advice as he could not take the pressure of these debts any longer and was at breaking point. He is so looking forward to having a fresh start free from debt. M rang this morning as he has no food in the house or gas and electric on his meters. Our local food bank can give some food, but M doesn't get paid for another two weeks!

Total needed £200We are supporting our client with debt advice, as she has built up debts that she cannot afford to repay. A has just come out of hospital after having her leg removed from below the knee, and she has to pay for carers. A only has electric in her flat, but still has a gas meter for which they are charging her a standing charge each month- she has now received a letter from the bailiffs asking for payment. We can write this debt off but the standing charge will continue to be charged each month. Please could you help us pay to have the gas meter removed?
